Monteferri Srl is a third-generation company, founded in 1927 by Mario Monteferri, with the aim of satisfying the gearing market in Italy. In the early days of the company, it was based in a workshop in the historic centre of Rome; today, it operates in a facility on the outskirts of the city, continuing the same objectives, with the same competence, but now using new technologies and ensuring quality.
The market has also expanded abroad, specialising in small and medium production runs using specific materials.
Monteferri Gear Construction offers a high-quality product and service, guaranteed by the Quality Management System UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
The product is monitored and tested with certified measuring instruments. We have a coordinate measuring machine located in a climate-controlled room with constant temperature and humidity, and certified primary samples that guarantee the conformity of all the measuring instruments used.
The company's ability and flexibility to rebuild gears within 24 hours allows it to resolve emergencies, such as crown gears for elevators, or for cranes or printing systems. We can produce gears in millimetres, inches, and special sizes, regardless of the field of application: aerospace, aeronautical, naval, earth movement, transport, medical machines, printing systems, and automotive.
Constantly searching for specific sectors, Monteferri Gear Construction has recently ventured into the motorsport sector, producing gearboxes, limited-slip differentials, and differential pairs. With years of experience in gear manufacturing, it offers a custom product service.
The company's strength lies in pre- and post-order assistance and consultation, such as material selection or heat treatment advice. Thanks to the flexibility of the organisation and structure, it can meet the needs of artisans with the production of single custom parts, as well as industry needs with medium and small production runs.
The company also focuses on an international niche market by producing gears for vintage machinery and motorcycles, such as gearboxes, reductions, multipliers, fitted and cemented shafts.
